We’ve talked about the 4th Line Theatre in the past. They have been presenting first class theatre locally for 28 years. Bringing history to life on the stage, the theatre is set on a farm in Millbrook between Peterborough and Port Hope. Thousands of visitors have experienced unforgettable plays while enjoying picnics, local birds and sunsets.

You have two excellent choices right now. You can see the latest production, “The Other: A Strange Christmas Tale” in December or you can purchase 2019 gift certificates for yourself or as a gift this holiday season.

“A mysterious woman arrives in Millbrook on the night of the Christmas pageant. Who is she and where has she come from? A girl and her grandfather search the streets of Millbrook to find out, with audience members following them closely.”

Your second option is to purchase tickets for yourself or as a gift – for the 2019 season. “Bloom: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable” and “Carmel” will be featured.

“Loosely based on the story of The Band, Beau Dixon’s “Bloom: A Rock ’n’ Roll Fable” follows the lives of two small-town best friends from Assumption, Ontario, who share a lifelong love affair with rock ’n’ roll music.

Carmel is the third in the Barnardo children series of plays (Doctor Barnadro’s Children, 2005 & 2014; Wounded Soldiers, 2014) and will feature characters you already met and fell in love with. This play is filled with music, dancing and farm families trying to get on with the job of living their lives.”
