  • Dress appropriately. Frost bite is real and can happen sooner than you think. Dress in layers including a base layer, mid layer and shell on top.
  • Take the right gear including flashlight, smart phone, extra clothing, hand warmers, and snow shoes if you have them.
  • Plan accordingly. Check the weather and pace yourself according to the conditions and your own fitness level.
  • Know your park! Many of the parks and conservation areas around us have miles and miles of trails. Know where you are at and where you are going.
  • Bring a snack and bring a buddy. Don’t hike in the winter alone.
  • Careful of the ice! There are many waterways that contain strong currents – the ice may not be as thick as you think.

It will be a summer you will never forget when you sign up for Ontario’s original zip line aerial park experience. A breath taking experience, exploring the trees on zip lines, swinging bridges, monkey cables, Tarzan swings and much more during a 3-hour tour.

Treetop Trekking is the perfect adventure for families, groups of friends and couples… and everyone can learn – from beginner to expert. And the fun is just not for the adults!

How about Discovery Kids Courses? You must be at least 5 years old and 45 inches tall. Kids can make their way through the courses filled with wood bridges, balance logs, net walkways, zip lines and more… all while wearing a climbing harness and helmet.

Of course there are options for adults too. The local Treetop Trekking park is located at the Ganaraska Forest Centre between  Port Hope and Peterborough, Ontario. Along with a number of easier courses, the Ganaraska park is home to Timberwolf, the most challenging aerial course in Ontario.

The Ganaraska Forest Centre is the perfect location for tree top trekking. The Park boasts over 12,000 acres – making it one of the largest blocks of forested land in southern Ontario.

There are a number of Treetop Trekking locations throughout the province, and activities vary among the parks. Ganaraska offers Zip Line and Aerial Game Treks, plus a team building program.
