The Millbrook Farmers’ Market runs the 4th Sunday of the month, April to October. The rural market is in the historic Village of Millbrook in Cavan Monaghan Township. The market showcases the products of local growers, bakers and artisans. You can look forward to a variety of meats, fish, baked goods, maple syrup, honey, preserves, wine, organic fair trade chocolate and coffee…and even pet treats.SELRES_22a36841-c15f-40ab-98b2-d7bd6ee6e868SELRES_8806e466-d19a-4e33-90ce-743e472235faSELRES_22a36841-c15f-40ab-98b2-d7bd6ee6e868

If you are looking forward to your own home garden, you can buy vegetable and flower seedlings to get you started.

This years’ opening day for the Market is also Earth Day. To help celebrate, there will be a ‘local seed swap’. Just bring any extra seeds you have in envelopes that have been labelled – and trade them for something new to try in your own garden.

The market is a great place to feel a part of the local community. Besides shopping, you can enjoy local entertainment, buy books from the Millbrook Library and the kids can enjoy Story Tree, hosted by the Old Millbrook School Family Centre.

You can find the variety of vendors between 10am and 1pm, rain or shine on the grounds the Old Millbrook School at 1 Dufferin Street. Check out all of the dates for this years’ activities at www.millbrookfarmersmarket.weebly.com
